With figures from the charity Young Minds stating that almost 1 in 4 children and young people show some evidence of mental ill health, tackling mental well-being is a crucial part of supporting pupils to help them to succeed.

The mental well-being checklist from Safeguarding Essentials will help demonstrate that mental well-being is already on your school’s agenda.
The checklist will assist school leaders when reviewing their mental well-being provision including curriculum contents, staff training and policy implementation.
